Maria is a registered clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. Maria’s background includes working in diverse healthcare settings—from adult acute medicine and adolescent mental health to pediatric chronic pain.

In addition to being a counsellor at Clarity, Maria is a member of the McMaster Family Health Team, where she provides mental health support across the lifespan.

Maria works with adolescents and adults facing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, chronic illness, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and personalized, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with trauma-informed and strengths-based frameworks.
